That's probably a wartime poster, or just after when we still had rationing. 

People still club together to buy and raise pigs - one of my friends is doing 
it now, and my brother and his neighbour had one a few years ago. I had some of 
it with them one Sunday, and everything in the meal had been raised or grown 
within a couple of hundred yards of their house.

Victoria House is a magnificent building in Bloomsbury Sq, opposite the 
entrance to Pied Bull Yard, where the Leica shop is. It was in the basement 
that I first saw a mainframe computer - it was in the ICL 1900 series. In 1981 
I was learning to program on microcomputers, and the tutor had worked there for 
a long time, so one day we all walked over to Victoria House and he gave us a 
guided tour of the machine room so we'd know what we were letting ourselves in 
for.
