I did kind of wonder if the one whose wings mimic a leaf ever has
problems with caterpillar's trying to eat his wings?

No Bob, it's not the lens - he must be an insect expert of some sort.
If I'd known he was that good, I'd have thought twice about letting
you him that lens. Too much of an advantage!
Great stuff - let us see more.

Ben the ex-lurker here....
Chris & Bob - it was great to meet you guys, now that I have some
quality glass (thanks to Chris!) I'm looking forward to sticking
something interesting in front of it :)
I spent Monday's lunch hour at the Natural History Museum's Butterfly
Garden (closing at the end of this week) and here are the keepers:

It was quite dark, resulting in the ISO being bumped up to 1600 to
keep the shutter speed remotely fast enough for the 300mm (handheld
and/or balancing my monopod on my thigh), luckily the K5 can handle
ISO 1600 quite well. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the
lens can do on a sunny day.
Critique and Comments welcome!

Bob beat me to it - here's my record of a pleasant day.
PDML lurker Ben Price relieved me of my F* 300 4.5. I'm pleased that
it's going to a good home. Ben threatens to de-lurk sometime soon...
Bob and I had a rather pleasant lunch at L'Absinthe (no, we didn't
partake of any) and a general wander around.
