I agree with you Rick when I saw the photo posted by Brian of his children atop the Grand Canyon. Look at the last leg of the Tripod on the ground. Absolutely thin and flimsy. And the wind can be pretty gusty in those parts what with the depth and width of the Canyon creating huge drafts. That tripod is dangerous too. And a K20D with the 60-250 zoom sitting atop that tripod will be unable to produce crisp photos of the picture postcard beauty of the Grand Canyon. Chris would have been better off getting a K-5IIs especially when prices are dropping rock bottom. That shot is very memorable for you Brian. Excellent composition and capture too. Regards.
