I do like the challenge of snapping hummingbirds. I got a bunch of shots that I still haven't done anything with. I'm going through them slowly so I don't inundate the group with a boatload of half-assed hummingbird photos. Narrowing them down is an arduous process. Fortunately, just watching them is entertaining to me.

Recently, I've shared photos of both a mantis and a hummingbird. So, I
guess it's fitting that I should post these two shots of the inevitable
confrontation 'twixt the two. (No animals were harmed in the taking of
these photos.)

Neither photo is particularly good in any technical sense, but I thought
the tension made up for the shortcomings in that area.
