If we go back to the original fuzzy picture posted by Zos (which now
appears to really be of the K-3 but with a different lens photoshopped
on the front) and you look at the right side of that hump, you will
see a thin line and what appears to be a larger slot at the bottom
(for opening with a thumbnail?)

If so, this makes me believe that it hides a plug (or plugs) of some
kind that one would need to access.
