Indeed, I retired my 6 yr old iMac in favor of the macbook-PRO earlier this year. It has a 4 core I7, 16Gb of RAM and 512Gb of solid-state disk. Using Lightroom-4 has been a delight ever since :-) I am quite ready for the K3, but will probably wait a few months, to get the wrinkles out of the firmware, and perhaps the price to drop a little, allthough $1300 seems VERY reasonable for the body.
