I've wanted for quite a while to get some pictures of a snake in the
wild, but have yet to encounter one in the years I've been pursuing
photography.
Which reminds me of one of my earliest outings with my K-x. I was out
driving on a local game refuge hoping to find a snake to shoot among all
the other fauna when I spotted a guy I knew from my high school days
standing on a small bridge. So, I slowly pulled up alongside him to
shoot the breeze for a minute. Then I noticed he had a fairly large
rock in his hand and asked him what he was doing. He motioned over his
shoulder with his head and said, "Tryin' to kill some snakes I saw down
there on the rocks."
I thought about giving him a quick shove over the side of the bridge for
a moment, but decided against it before driving off.

Noting particularly artistic just a little snake that thinks he's
hiding in plain sight.
