It's a Zone VI (Roman Numerals), not V1 or V!.  Zone VI is the name of
the company that made or modified numerous bits of photo gear, such as
modifying the Pentax Spotmeters, building enlargers, timers, and so
forth.  The company was founded by Fred Picker and later sold to
Calumet.
