I'll make this observation on skin tones, Walt: exposure is _critical_. If I had to make the choice between upgrading my camera or buying a meter, I'd go for the meter. More often than not, trying to eyeball the exposure using the histogram and chimping, I'd blow out some part of the skin or underexpose something I didn't mean to.
