Yeah, I started playing with it yesterday. This UI steals stuff from
both G+ and Facebook, which have been cross-fertilizing each other for
a few years. Pretty soon there'll be just one basic image viewer at
this rate.

It's okay, the controls are more compact than before, but it results
in a much smaller image if it's a landscape (which has got to be 70%
of them), and the stream navigation is broken: if you are viewing an
image from one stream (say your "Following" list) and you hit the X in
the upper-right to return, you instead end up viewing the image
owner's stream.

I added a vote to the request to make the sidebar collapsable so that
landscapes will return to a decent large size again.
