That looks potentially (heh!) very cool, but from the video it is impossible
to tell what is going on. What the mechanism of stored energy is, or much of
anything.  I tried looking up chain accelerator on google, but I get 
either supply chains, or nuclear physics references.

We used to do that with dry ice and soda bottles.  We use
LN2 for making ice cream.
