The university that provides my paycheck issued a warning this afternoon NOT to upgrade to Maverick until 10.9.1 at least. They reported many problems with network access, multiple monitors, and a variety of software, including MSOffice 11 and EndNote.
I'm glad that there are early adopters of software, OSes, and cameras; and I'm VERY glad I'm not one of them.
