Looking at poison oak rarely makes me itch. When I took Walt to Bonny Doon beach, I slipped on the trail up the hill to the train tracks. Once I was outside of sight from Hwy 1, I donated some water and nitrates to the local bushes. On the way back to the car I noticed some poison oak next to the trail, near where I had slipped. A few days later, I confirmed that my hand had indeed landed in the poison oak. Like all California natives, I have a long list of poison oak stories. I recently did a bit of research into it, and it's pretty interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urushiol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxicodendron_vernicifluum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mango http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxicodendron_diversilobum -- Larry Colen [email protected] http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
