I've always used UV filters on all my lenses, except the 600. Mine are all Pentax or top end B+W. I have polarizers for most of my lenses which are used when the occasion calls for them. Use to have numerous other filters when I shot film, which are mostly not needed now with digital. Filters have saved damage to my lenses on more than one occasion.
