Thanks, Chris... and Bob, Jack and Darren. It definitely is sleepy even by NZ standards but I think it gets busy in the holiday season with the camping ground near the beach. The only tourist attraction is the museum which is quite small but has a very good range of Maori artefacts on display. And a very friendly cat who lives next to the store.
It was so nice having no cellphone coverage or internet. The cottage didn't even have TV reception, but it did have an excellent range of DVDs.
