I've noticed already that the K3 is more of a battery hog than the K5 was with the camera set the way I use it (no instant review, AF tied to shutter release, minimal chimping), Perhaps I'm recalling the K7 overly fondly, but the first shoot I did with it ended up being 1588 shots on one charge.
