Not sure how you did that, but it is a WAY COOL image (as the hep cats
like to say).

Thanks Darren; the trick was to position myself at an angle to the glass to avoid my own reflection.

Nice one!
One of my favorite ghost-towns...
Several nice old rusting cars too, hope they are still there :)

I saw one; an old green truck parked in a relatively open space. Once I saw it, I recalled photos I have seen of it too. :-)

I have to say that I have seen many Bodie pictures over the years. It is not a particularly big place so the images start to look pretty similar to each other. This one, however, is a new take for me - something I've not seen in the past. Kudos for the great vision to come up with a fresh idea in a area that has been well explored.

Nicely done, sir!!!

Thank you very much, Bruce! This was one of my last shots for the day. After walking around and shooting everything that looked even just partly interesting I wanted to find one situation that could sort of sum up the experience of Bodie in one shot. I had spent a lot of time looking in windows, and photographed through dirty glass half the afternoon. I have a few shots of the interior of this store too, but when I saw the reflection in the glass, I thought it looked a bit mystical, a bit ghostly maybe; and to me personally it became the shot that summed up my experience with the place. So I'm very glad you liked it. Thanks again.

Nice - (of course;-) )

But the first of your shot's on your trip that I can't immediately come up with a specific remembrance of.. though I must have been there at some point.

Nobody's perfect, Ann... :-)
Thanks.
