Hello all, Had a good weekend. Gene Harris Jazz Fesival this weekend. Saw Curtis Stigers (from Boise) and Kevin Eubanks from the Tonight Show. Enjoyed it...could not get photos.
Anyway...my local camera store had the ZX-L (upside-down 7?) so I took a look. Pretty nice camera - feels a lot like the ZX/MZ-7. Still don't like the viewfinder - pentamirrors...argh! Metal mount is nice for an intro camera - like DOP and PF(program functions - 15 I think). The control layout is like the 7, makes it look and work a lot like a Canon Rebel 2000. It has the 'squishy' 2 FPS drive. All in all...I actually like this camera. More than the ZX-10, 50, 30, and 7. Would like the L/6 to have the metering options, but I'm hoping for this and a few other features (like a PC socket) on a 5n replacement (please, Please, PLEASE keep the same interface for this one, Pentax....P...L...E...A...S...E!) There is a nice review of the ZX-L/MZ-6 in last months Practicle Photography (British magazine). B&H has the L at $250 body only - not bad. Anyone else been able to play with the camera? Like it? No?
