Now that's what I call national support. He only needs 1½ points from the
last 4 games.
I also ran a club years ago when I taught. We played regularly in a league &
various tournaments. Then I discovered there are only 24hrs in a day.

It was a comment partly in jest. :-)
As a teacher, I find most of my students preoccupied in the lessons. In the
teachers' study room there is an eerie atmosphere while the games are on.
While it has not yet happened where I work, some schools have had to shut
out certain streaming services from the local firewalls to prevent the
network from overload. It's quite a buzz this guy has stirred up here in the
Frostpit.
As a former amateur chess player (no match for Boris, tho), I'm sucked in
too. :-)
