I don't know about card testing software, but here's a suggestion. Be sure to hard-format each card in the computer you will be unloading them with. I failed to do that with the new 32G card I got -- I just started using it as it came -- and it crapped out on me, losing me a handful of useful shots. I was so utterly pissed off.
The card showed up okay in the camera but I could not mount it on my Mac no matter what I did. I finally was forced to format it, first in the camera and then again on the Mac. Seems to be working fine now, but I'm still nervous about it of course. I have taken to using the write-on-both-cards K-3 feature for safety.
