I recall the deal on the K-5 IIs making a splash here, but no one's mentioned it since. Ricoh has been offering some pretty good deals on Pentax stuff (plus the Ricoh Theta, which I am intrigued by but have yet to look into): http://www.us.ricoh-imaging.com/12days12deals. I've bought two so far.
I ordered a WG-3 GPS today, and the DA 50-200 WR I ordered last week should be here tomorrow. I've never seen a manufacturer sell stuff so cheaply through their own store before. They've been cheaper than even Amazon. I would have gotten a Q7, too, if I felt like I could justify it right now. Maybe next year That reminds me: If anyone wants an original DA 50-200 for cheap, mine will be available when the WR version shows up. It's in good shape, so just make an offer. Anyway, part of the reason I bring this up is because it makes me wonder if Ricoh is trying to move its inventory of older Pentax gear before unleashing new stuff in the spring. For instance, the lens deals they offered were all on older models (no HD models or recent releases), and I'd bet the WG-3 deal today is so cheap because they want to move the last of the Optio line before rebranding P&S cameras as Ricohs. Kinda makes me curious what may be coming down the pipeline.
