Hi Dave I have it since last autumn. I compared it with the SMCM 
135/3.5 and
found no visible difference. Compared wiht the SMC200/4.0 the prime 
had
slightly softer edges and corners - wide open! (So I selled my 200-
prime and
kept the zoom.) The color rendition is very good. You can see it at my
pictures od Bremen, taken on a hazy day: �www.bienenbernd.de �-> 
Photographie
-> Bremen , all pictures with 4.5 or 5.6 because of the lack of sun 
(the
gallery needs javascript, no problem with MS internet explorer).
Only disadvantage seems to be: it balances not so good on my MZ-5N. I
discovered the difference shooting test-photos using a tripod: they 
really had
better quality.
