as you may know, there are two D-FA 100mm f/2.8 Macros; the initial version (yours) with the wider focus ring; and the subsequent WR version, with a narrower focus ring, no aperture ring, and "WR"; the best used prices put the WR version $150 more

i'm well aware of the differences as i am attracted by the lighter weight of either of these (vs. my Sigma EX 105/2.8), and it's been hard for me to weigh the trade-offs between the two
