I like it--looks cold and raw, and the light on the horizon is nice. I would be tempted to boost the contrast a bit.
When we lived across the lake in Rochester (30+ years ago), Lake Ontario was frozen along the shore by Christmas. But that was before global warming had gotten a real start.
