I’ve been nervous about updating my desktop computer to OSX 10.9.1. My past experience with new Mac operating systems was never good in regard to printing. The upgrade usually trashed my Epson drivers and replaced them with some kind of idiot printing mode designed to help grandma print easily when she hooks up her computer on Christmas morning. This time, all went well. I was able to print immediately from PhotoShop with good control over all variables. Even went through an ink changing exercise (photo black to photo matte) to enable printing on double sided matte paper. (Made my wife a birthday card.) I have some print orders I have to get out next week, so I figured with the holiday I’d have two days to fix things after the upgrade trashed my printing workflow. Looks like I can watch some football and drink some scotch instead.
