Yes, it has shutter priority mode.
Nice camera. My first also, and took a lot of (ab)use from a
newbie...:-)
I can remember only two problems with mine: the shutter release
button. After some three years of use, it didn't trig the meter
half-way down anymore. The sealing around the button had worn out, so
I got little particles of skin debris etc. below the button that
reduced conductivity on two metal parts that had to meet to trig the
meter. Also, there were some wear on the release button itself. Below
the surface you push down, the button narrows to a thin plastic piston
that trigs the meter/shutter. It looked OK, but it was half a
millimetre shorter than it should be. Didn't see that before I
replaced the entire camera top.

Which I did because of problem no. 2, that the clear plastic window
over the LCD fell off...:-) The top was easy to replace, btw. Bought
the part from the national distributor for ca. 5 USD.

My problems may be tributable to photographing in the rain...
