I agree. We actually allow HDR in the Nature Photography Weekend
contest now, though it has to be, well, natural looking. Over-the-top
processing of any kind goes straight into the bit bucket. (Actually,
oversharpening is still the biggest offender, even though we warn
everybody about it at the start of the event.)
