I was (and is still) snowing. Didn't get any shots worthy of mention. But I did get a chance to compare the FA28-105(PZ ver.), F35-135, and AT-X50-250. Typical of Tokina, the 50-250 is sharper and contrastier than the two Pentax lenses. It has that cool cast to the shots but at least PS/PSE can fix that in a hurry. The lack of close-focusing with the 35-135 is a problem, although the macro mode at 135mm is quite nice. Not long ago I picked up some A-class extension tubes so this might have some use, but only as a long macro. Instead the 28-105 (since it is also a bit sharper) will fill the mid-range gap and the 35-135 will spend more time on the shelf.
