Stan, if you're looking for something a little different in the Newberry area, you might go to Nature's Kennel - www.naturesKennel.com - ask Tasha (her & her husband own the kennel) politely and she'll let you photograph the dogs and kennel activity - of course she might try to entice you into a sled dog adventure.

I've done their half day session and in fact did a sled race with their equipment and dogs - very enjoyable.

With the publicity the Apostle Islands are getting with their caves all iced up, it might be worthwhile to check out Pictured Rocks for similar subject matter.

Enjoy the U P !

All this talk about snow and ice the last few days got me thinking:
a) this winter won’t last forever.
b) It may be years before there is another winter like this one.
c) I’ve got travel scheduled in early March, again in April, only a few weeks window in-between.

so

d) I need to get off my [chair] and take some pictures.

Headed for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula for a few days next week to look for frozen waterfalls, crusted lighthouses etc.
