I decided to try one of the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 heads like Darren Addy bought. I like the design a lot, and it turns out that the Really Right Stuff B2-LR-II clamp which fits all my camera and lens plates is a near perfect fit. Should be here in a week. If it works out, at least one of my current heads will be up for sale.
