The heli was only overhead for 15 minutes!
I boarded the boat at Gosport about 11.30am, we set off to the
rendezvous area. They had a couple of potential clients aboard so we
sailed about for a couple of hours and had sandwiches etc. Then I
transferred to a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) half-rubber half-fibreglass
and bounced around horrendously while trying to stay just out of reach
of the downdraft. Coated with seawater - not a good combination for the
gear! Then after, back aboard and a run downwind back to port. Beers and
cheers and a 2 hour drive home!
