It sounds very intriguing, particularly after the grief that I’ve been having
with low light auto focus on my K-5
The AF is pretty secure. What I am finding is that it has problems
locking on in low light (mind you I have the focus assist turned off)
and it tends to hunt a bit. It is using an on sensor phase focus system,
but it acts like it doesn't know which way to start AFing until it has
moved the focus slightly to see which way it needs to go.
The AF on the K5 is pretty much the worst low light AF I have ever used.
