Early Darwinists proposed an evolutionary sequence of the horse beginning with a dog sized creature called Eohippus. A series of larger & larger creatures from the fossil record "proved" evolution to the modern day Equus. Weren't you taught that at school? However, it was subsequently discovered that some of the species actually existed simultaneously (fossils found together) and even in the wrong order (radioactive dating methods) so the theory was busted. It doesn't disprove evolution of the horse, only the fanciful Eohippus sequence.

What is the "eohippus theory" and how has it been discredited?
