I already have a Minolta DiMage Scan Elite II for my film scanning needs.

I was reading your posts in the group regarding the Epson and, for the
money, I'd look at it too if I still had the 645n but I no longer do, so,
it's now a consideration as a film scanner.  Just have to dump (i.e. pass
over to dad) my older SCSI Microtek 6XEL (or whatever it's called) :)

I just returned one of these units.  I found that the scans of film to
be just too soft for my comfort.  Print scanning was good.  I am used
to a film scanner and just wasn't happy with the output.  It did seem
like a nice flatbed though.
