That's the plan Bruce. Strictly flatbed. I already have a Minolta DiMage Scan Elite II for my film scanning needs.
I was reading your posts in the group regarding the Epson and, for the money, I'd look at it too if I still had the 645n but I no longer do, so, it's now a consideration as a film scanner. Just have to dump (i.e. pass over to dad) my older SCSI Microtek 6XEL (or whatever it's called) :) Cheers, Dave -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Bruce Dayton Sent: Friday, April 12, 2002 2:38 AM To: David Chang-Sang Subject: Re[2]: Best flatbed scanner for B&W prints? David, I just returned one of these units. I found that the scans of film to be just too soft for my comfort. Print scanning was good. I am used to a film scanner and just wasn't happy with the output. It did seem like a nice flatbed though.
