The problem with that early morning "emerging light" is you gotta' get up early to catch it. I'm more of an "out of bed by the crack of noon" kind of guy.
Do you ever run into problems with people getting up-tight about you photographing their windows? I recognize that you're not really looking through their windows ... it's just the play of light & shadow, but I'm sure that understanding is *NOT* universal.
