Hi Kari,

   If you notice the overexposure as shown by the meter, then you
   have a problem with aperture value transmission. My old Tamron
   80-210/3.8-4 on PKA Adaptall used to behave this way, with a
   negligible error of around a third of stop. This happened only in
   aperture priority and manual mode, when you set the aperture on the
   lens. The culprit is a small lever on the Adaptall indicating the
   selected aperture. 

   But if the overexposure displays only on film, and is not seen by
   the meter, then the mechanism of closing aperture on the Adaptall
   is flawed.
