This is a follow up to the 'April PUG' thread.
As I mentioned in that thread, I photographed this plant in Canyon de
Chelly last year and it turns out (thanks to Ken & Steve) that it's a
Castilleja species (Indian paint brush). Steve suggested Castilleja
chromosa, while Ken's photo is of C.scabrida. Here's a photo of my
plant - the foliage looks a bit different to both of those.
Anyone have any ideas as to the species?
