There seems to have been a special architecture from the golden age of
train travel & passenger stations. For me this station is very much in
the style of the passenger station in Greensboro, NC.
There's another style expressed in the old stations at High Point, NC
and a station in Raleigh that's been turned into a garden shop. I'll
have to get up there this afternoon and also take a look through my
photographs from the last couple of years.

Nice photo, great station :-)
I love old train stations... possibly we could have a STATION-airy
PUG theme next year? :-)

When I was growing up in the 60's, the station was a sealed-off
world of fallen plaster, leaks, and winos. One bought tickets and
boarded trains through sheet-metal temporary buildings. It is great
to see the place restored.
