When Ann had her little problem back in December, our own Alban Bernard (or is it Bernard Alban?) suggested a couple of tools, one of them being PhotoRec. That didn't really register on me at the time, and there was no further discussion of it.
However, a recent PetaPixel post is intriguingly entitled "How I Lost Over a Hundred Photographs to a Corrupted Memory Card, And Got Them Back" and in that story, the hero is PhotoRec. The beauty of PhotoRec is that is works cross-platform, so it should be a tool in your toolbox regardless of whether you are Mac, PC, or Linux. Shoot digital long enough and chances are good that you will need it. -- Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs look like photographs. ~ Alfred Stieglitz -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
