Hmmmm - I don't think there is any Adobe product on the linux machine so
that may just be it...
The chkdsk /r finished up sometime overnight - the drive seems to be
working fine now. Maybe there was a file system error, or after being on
severla hours a faulty component warmed up and started working properly.
I guess time will tell. The blank screen was the biggest PITA from this
and still unfathomable to me.
