I use cases with my cameras, old and new. Bought one for my son's MZ-10 and just recently for the MZ-S. (no, Mick, I'm afraid it doesn't fit with the BG-10 grip!) You may have a point though. My LX doesn't have a case (coz a new one costs 60 quid!) and it is noticeably noiser than all the others. On second thoughts, it's probably just a noisy camera.
