I cannot say for FocusingScreens.com, but KatzEye was superb both in
terms of the screen itself and in terms of the service that I got from
Rachael Katz.
I should point out that the Canon ee-S screen of formerly mine K-5 was
also very good. I have come to realize that specifically for my eyesight
the EVF is better, especially if it is equipped with "running ants" of
focus assist (FA). The good thing is that specifically my eyes get less
tired and that I can see everything that is in focus in the frame (as
far as capability of FA system goes).
Peter, you obviously know that either way, you may have to re-shim your
new screen to fit accurately for precision manual focusing, so I suggest
you procure the set of shims for your camera along with the focusing screen.

A couple of other observations, I really need a split image focusing
screen
for manual focus, The K-5II thought something was in focus but the

object in the frame was the small branch just in front of the bird. I
don't
know if it's from subject movement or being just a bit out of the
limited
DOF from this lens, but the Birds head and eye are not quite sharp
enough
in
the full resolution file, though his breast feathers seem to be. The
K-5II
files can take a lot of abuse before they begin to fall apart.
I always thought that the Series 1 Solid Cats were multi coated, but I
noticed that there doesn't seem to be any of the usual coating
reflections
you see even with single and double coated lenses, and no mention of
Vivitar's vmc coating on the lens. Anybody have any information on
that?
