Peter, I might have gone for a full silhouette.

Subject: PESO -- Untitled.

So after showing a couple of good shots taken with the Vivitar 600mm
Solid Cat. I thought I'd show some of the Ugly too. For a lens type
that is known, nay reviled for having low contrast, sometime under the
right circumstances it produces almost unmanageably high contrast.
You'll notice that the branches in the background are exhibiting an
annoying double bokeh, and there's an almost unseen branch in the
foreground exhibiting ring bokeh. I probably could have gotten a better
final image out of this, but would have had to go to some extreme
efforts. As it is, it can serve as an horrible example of what can go
wrong with even the best Catadioptric lens.

Equipment: Pentax K-5II w/vmc Vivitar Series 1 600mm f8.0 Solid
Catadioptric Lens

Notes: This is an about 1/3 crop from the center of the frame, shot at a
not particularly high, (for this camera at least), ISO of 800. It has
the most centered Histogram I can remember seeing yet I still couldn't
make it look good.

As usual comments are welcome but may be totally ignored.
