That is nonsense!

First Fred in all probability had not seen Len's post. The thing I think we
all need to stop an think of is that from the readers point of view they
usually responding to the post on the screen, though sometimes they are
responding to the thread and not the current poster. Also, everyone does not
get your post at the same time, I often see somebody's response to some
else's reply to my post be for I see that reply or my own post on the list.
Taking multiple responses as a reprimand is not something you should do.
There is little likelihood that they were meant that way.
