A friend and I cycled the Sarsen Trail yesterday, which is a pleasant
charity ride starting and ending near Stonehenge.

We both did the trail on road bikes, and saw probably no more than half a
dozen other road bikes out of the hundreds that were there. One guy did it
on a fixie, which was pretty impressive, especially as he overtook us
climbing up a hill. It was really not a mountain bike ride, much more suited
to a road bike with knobbly tyres, and one roadie said as he passed us "At
last - some proper bikes!".

It was a doddle, really. Apart from the nuclear minefield.
