I'm not silly enough to say who needs to store more than a couple of hundred images on a card, but it hardly seems wise to do so.
i use 32GB cards; i rarely fill one, but when traveling i back up into my iPad nightly and keep shooting; simplifies things to have the whole trip on one card and we can also look back through the the trip on the back of the camera (without swapping cards)
