I tested the MZ-S with the battery pack BG-10, fresh AA lithium batteries, and an out of date Agfa 27 exposure film. It did 2.5 frames per second, as stated by Pentax. Perhaps it is not the same with other Pentax cameras, but I think that the poster of the Photozone message that Brendan quotes is wrong, or his MZ-S is faster than mine (sample variation?).
