Yes, that's the kind of thing I've been seeing with the Sony A7 as well: with 
so many pixels, and so much DR to work with, it's pretty amazing what you can 
pull out of an exposure. Might just pick up an A7r body as well ... it's not a 
huge leap over the A7, but 36 vs 24 Mpixels goes a little deeper for when you 
need the additional detail. 

Good to see that the K3 sensor is up to the challenge. What's remarkable to me 
is that the Oly E-M1 sensor is right in there too, despite being 1/4 the size 
of the A7 and nearly 1.5x the pixel density, it gives up only a stop and some 
on noise and DR at the very top of the range. 

Truly remarkable where modern technology has gone. 
And then I pull out one of my Polaroids and it makes me smile... :-)
