Thanks, David, Jack, Bruce and Ann!

When I first saw this critter, he was flat against the middle of the
trunk, and not moving. I couldn't get a good angle on him, but I was
afraid to disturb him. I took a chance, and nudged him ever so
gently, and he scrambled a few inches up the tree, where I could get a
better angle on him. Still, I hand to wrap the leg of the tripod
around the tree to get the lens under him and close enough to get as
much detail as possible. I kept losing him entirely when I was trying
to focus, but eventually I managed to grab the focus close enough. I
was shocked that he remained still for so long, but it was a chilly
morning, and that helped I surmise. I also had a bit of a problem
with the bright spots in the background. The brightest one, to the
upper left of the spider, tended to overwhelm it when it was close to
the Daddy Long Legs, so I had to move the camera to get it out of the
way. The longer bright spot behind him fortunately allowed itself to
be aligned along one of the "long legs," setting it off in a way that
I found pleasing pleasing.

It was a fun image to make.

Thanks for looking and commenting.
