I guess I'm old school. Photographers are supposed to be discreet,
we're not the story we cover it. I've seen their work I'm not that
impressed, any number of local photographers could do as well. They've
been covering this event for at least four years, last year from atop 12
foot step ladders. The shooting location was in the middle of the
finish line at a 5k road race.

If you want them to be invisible as a shadow at the event, - I don't
think that is a problem here. I don't know this company, but after
looking at the company's website, I see that they are taking huge number
of photographs at farely large sport events. So, them being well visible
by the participants (in a way similar to how referees, security, etc..
are) could be a good idea.
